1. Singapore Post shall use reasonable effort to deliver your article according to the Registered Article Delivery Standards (available upon request).


2. Singapore Post shall not be liable for any delay in effecting delivery of such article for whatever reason under section 57 of the Postal Services Act (Cap. 237A)


3. Singapore Post may but shall not be obliged to inform or notify you of any loss or shall not be liable, whether in contract, tort (including negligence and breach of duty) or otherwise, for any direct, indirect, special or consequential losses or damages, costs and expenses arising from or in connection with such information or notification (or lack thereof).


4. Singapore Post shall not be liable for paper-related contents such as documents. The maximum liability of Singapore Post for other contents is limited to $68.00 per article or the declared value of the content, whichever is lower. Please kindly use our insured Service if your article has a value of more than S$68.00. To enable Singapore Post to assess your claims, please kindly provide such documents and information as may be required by Singapore Post, including but not limited to the documentary proof of the value of the content, a declaration from the addressee of non-receipt and a duplicate of the invoice issued by the payment mode provider evidencing payment for the article.


5. Singapore Post shall not be liable if the article is not adequately packed by the sender or the packing does not conform to the Rules of Packing containing certain contents as listed in the Postal Service Guide (available upon request).


6. You shall idemnify and hold Singapore Post harmless from all claims, damages, losses, costs and expense arising from or in connection with a breach by you or any of the terms & conditions stated herein.


7. Singapore Post will deliver the article to the address stated on the cover.


8. Request for a duplicate copy of the signed local Delivery Receipt is at S$3.05 (available within 2-3 working days) and S$5.10 (available within 1-2 working days). For overseas, it is at S$10.15 (if available, it will be about 25 working days or more).


9. Articles which the possession or transmission thereof such as explosives, poison, flammable items, radioactive material, compressed gas, corrosive, firearms and any items which by its nature or packaging may expose officers of Singapore Post to injury or cause damage to other items, are prohibited by law and will not be accepted.


10. Coins, bank notes, currency notes or securities of any kind payable to bearer are to be sent via insured post only. Compensation will not be payable for such lost items under the registered service.


11. Sending of important personal documents such as passports and visas via post is not encouraged.


12. Please kindly allow at least 18 working days for delivery of overseas registered articles before raising an enquiry and only if the addressee claims non-receipt of the article. For any one customer in any one calendar week, Singapore Post will process a maximum of 25 enquiries or 5% of the total registered articles posted for that week, whichever is lower. The Overseas Postal Administration could take up to 2 months to give a conclusive reply to our enquirires. All enquiries must be made within 6 months from the date of posting. All enquiries shall be subject to such terms and conditions as may be required by Singapore Post.


13. For enquiry, please provide a copy of this receipt, the registered number, content, details of the sender and addressee, failing which Singapore Post will not be able to trace the registered item.


14. Singapore Post may, but shall not be obliged to, assist you in requests for retrieval of articles, for selected countries of destination and provided the article has not already been delivered.


15. For requests of retrievals (where it is possible), please provide such information as may be required by Singapore Post, including but not limited to a full description of the item, full addressee information, type of envelope (colour and size) and the original of this receipt.


16. An administrative fee of $21.40 is payable for each successful retrieval.


17. These terms are subject to all applicable laws, including the Postal Services Act (Cap. 237A) and its regulations, and all directions and requirements of the Info-Communications Development Authority of Singapore.
